orifice tube location

rswatzyna on Wed September 05, 2007 11:12 AM User is offline

Year: 1994
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus
Engine Size: 3.8
Refrigerant Type: R-134
Ambient Temp: 83
Pressure Low: 25
Pressure High: 400
Country of Origin: United States

I'm trying to find out where the location of the orifice tube is for this car. Think it may be clogged because of the pressure readings. Has new compressor because the clutch failed. Have also installed a new accumulator. Added oil and tried to charge. Low side was 25 and kicking the compressor off. High side was going over 400 with 30 ozs of R-134. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tube may be built into the liquid line on this one.

Are the condenser fans working?
