cmhipp on Mon August 27, 2007 8:02 PM User is offline

Year: 96
Make: Mazda
Model: 626 ES
Engine Size: 2.5L
Refrigerant Type: r-134a

Air was working fine & stopped/ no noises, belt ok, but found 30A fuse under hood blown. Found pinched wire between bottom of alternator and top of a/c comp. (one of two wires coming out of comp/ not coil wire.) also wire loom around top of alternator bracket could possibly have been pinched(have not cut open the loom)/ anyway installed new fuse, pushed a/c button light comes on but no compressor, but not blowing any fuses/ any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

CMHipp

Use a test light to see if 12v is getting to the clutch coil..Check any wires that may have been squeezed..Use the test light to find where the 12v ends..Thats the break in the wire..Hope this helps..
